Your file is stored in a private bucket only your account can read, next to the parsed resume. Delete the resume — or your whole account from Settings — and it is gone.
Import questions
PDF, DOCX and plain-text TXT files up to 10 MB. Older .doc files are not supported — open the file in Word or Google Docs and save it as DOCX or PDF first.
Choosing a file and previewing what gets extracted is free with no account. The AI parse itself runs on a free account (5 imports a day) because it costs us compute, and the parsed resume is saved to that account so you can come back to it.
The AI maps your file into Tailr's sections — contact details, summary, experience, education, skills and the optional sections — and every field lands in the editor for you to check. Scanned image-only PDFs have no text to read; export a text-based PDF instead.
The original stays in a private storage bucket that only your account can read, alongside the parsed resume. Deleting the resume or your account removes it.
Tailr rebuilds the content into one of its own ATS-friendly templates rather than copying the file's layout — that is the point of importing. You can switch templates any time without retyping, and export a print-ready PDF, DOCX or TXT.
