Employment Type: Full timeShift: 12 Hour Night Shift Description: Job Title: Clinical Nurse - Observation Unit Schedule/Shift: Full-Time / 36 hours weekly / Night Shift Location: Silver Spring, Maryland Position Purpose: The Clinical Nurse/Registered Nurse works in a collaborative environment at Holy Cross Health within the Observation Unit to deliver excellent patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team providing evidence-based medicine and individualized patient care. This position is a great opportunity to work in an organization that focuses on treating the whole person. As a Registered Nurse you will: • Provide direct nursing care to oncology, med/surg, and hospice patients. • Administer medications, including chemotherapy (if certified), and monitor for side effects. • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care plans. • Offer emotional support and education to patients and families. • Participate in discharge planning, pain management, and palliative care coordination. • Document patient progress and communicate effectively with care team Minimum Qualifications: • Graduation from an accredited nursing program; basic professional nursing degree (BSN) preferred. Note, if the BSN degree is not present on hire, the employee must sign an agreement to obtain a within a specific time frame. • Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered Nurse. • BLS certification; additional Life Support training as applicable to unit requirements. • At least 1 year of nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting. • Superb interpersonal, communication and collaboration abilities • Competency in electronic patient management systems Preferred: • BSN or MSN preferred Highlights and Benefits: • Comprehensive benefit packages available, including medical, dental, vision, mental health, paid time off, 403B, education assistance and voluntary benefits (pet insurance, accident insurance, hospital indem
