About this role

Sr. Property Accountant Location: Reston VA 2-3 days in office. Salary: $110-$115k plus bonus. Senior Property Accountant We're looking for a Senior Property Accountant who takes real pride in accurate numbers and a clean close. You'll manage the financial side of a portfolio of residential communities — month-end close, GL, property-level statements, and everything that keeps the books running smoothly. What you'll be doing: • Running monthly close for multiple properties • Preparing financial statements and property-level reporting • Maintaining the GL and completing account reconciliations • Analyzing variances and putting together monthly reports • Overseeing AP, AR, cash activity, and journal entries • Partnering with property management teams to keep reporting accurate • Supporting budgets, forecasts, and audits • Spotting discrepancies and getting them resolved quickly What you bring: • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • 3+ years of property, real estate, or multi-site accounting experience • Hands-on experience with Yardi • Strong Excel skills and a sharp eye for detail • A knack for juggling multiple properties and deadlines without missing a beat If you're someone who enjoys the challenge of keeping a portfolio's finances sharp and organized, we'd love to hear from you.
