We are looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer to help build and maintain the backend platform powering our connected-device products. You will work across cloud services, APIs, data pipelines, fleet management, and real-time device communications. This is a hands-on role for an engineer who enjoys building production systems, solving practical problems, and working closely with embedded, hardware, frontend, and product teams. What you will do: Backend Development • Build, maintain, and improve Python/FastAPI backend services, REST APIs, and WebSocket endpoints. • Develop features for device provisioning, fleet management, telemetry, events, device status, firmware management, and OTA updates. • Design and maintain PostgreSQL schemas, migrations, indexes, queries, and data-retention strategies. • Build and improve data-ingestion services using AWS IoT Core, MQTT, Lambda, RDS, Redis, and S3. • Work with infrastructure-as-code and deployment tooling to maintain cloud infrastructure. Quality and Reliability • Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests alongside feature development. • Investigate and resolve production issues across APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, and device integrations. • Improve the reliability of telemetry ingestion throu
