About this role

JOB SUMMARY We are seeking a FLEX Associate Software Engineer – CDP to contribute to the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of our Real-Time Customer Data Platform (CDP), and specifically its real-time (same-page & next-page) integration with Marriott’s digital products across web, mobile app, guest room entertainment technology, and more. Working closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams, this individual will assist with data integration, platform configuration, and ongoing operational support. This position is well-suited for an early-career professional with a strong technical foundation, a “learn-by-doing" mindset, and a desire to grow within a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Our digital platforms support millions of guest interactions across web, mobile, and on property experiences every day. This scale creates unique opportunities—and challenges—for building real time, reliable, and privacy aware data and personalization capabilities. Hybrid to Bethesda, MD Headquarters OR ability to travel at least once/quarter. CANDIDATE PROFILE Education and Experience Required • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Web Development, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience • 0 – 3 years of relevant experience in software engineering, data engineering, or a related technical field (including internships or academic projects) • Foundational knowledge of REST APIs, JSON payloads, and programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript • Understanding of data structures, event-driven architectures, and real-time integration concepts Preferred • Exposure to Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), Adobe Real-Time Customer Data Platform, Adobe Launch (Tags), AEP Web/Mobile SDK, or comparable technologies • Familiarity with digital personalization concepts and technologies, such as Adobe Target or similar personalization/testing tools • Familiarity with privacy and consent concepts (GDPR/CCPA) an
