About this role
Revenue Accountant - Arlington, VA We are seeking a Revenue Accountant to join an established accounting team in Arlington, VA. This position will support revenue accounting, account reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, and financial reporting. Candidates with a strong general accounting background and experience working with revenue-related accounts are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities: • Support day-to-day revenue accounting activities • Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts • Assist with revenue recognition and ensure transactions are recorded accurately • Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes • Review billing activity and supporting documentation • Research and resolve revenue and account discrepancies • Maintain schedules, reconciliations, and accounting documentation • Assist with financial reporting and variance analysis • Provide supporting documentation for audit requests • Work closely with accounting, billing, and finance teams • Support process improvements and accounting controls Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • 3+ years of accounting experience • Experience with month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations • Knowledge of GAAP and general revenue recognition principles • Strong Microsoft Excel skills • Experience using ERP or accounting systems • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills • Ability to manage deadlines and work effectively in a team environment • Familiarity with ASC 606 Preferred Experience: • Revenue accounting or revenue recognition experience • Experience reviewing contracts or billing documentation • Previous experience supporting internal or external audits Beacon Hill is an equal opportunity employer and individuals with disabilities and/or protected veterans are encouraged to apply.
