About this role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join a healthcare organization on a contract-to-permanent basis. This role is ideal for an accounting specialist who thrives in a hands-on environment and can manage core financial operations with accuracy and consistency. The position supports day-to-day accounting activities while helping ensure timely month-end and year-end reporting.Responsibilities:• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations across payables, receivables, and general ledger activity.• Prepare and post journal entries while maintaining accurate financial records and supporting documentation.• Reconcile bank accounts and investigate discrepancies to ensure balances are complete and reliable.• Lead key close activities at month-end and year-end, helping deliver timely and accurate financial reporting.• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger by reviewing transactions and correcting variances as needed.• Use Excel and accounting platforms such as Accumatica and Bill.com to process transactions, track data, and support reporting.• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address accounting questions and keep financial processes running smoothly.
