About this role

Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year Job description: Associate Software Engineer Constellation is seeking an Associate Software Engineer with full-stack development experience, including building modern user interfaces in React and developing reliable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, or comparable frameworks. In this role, you will support mission-critical applications that integrate data collection, operational reporting, and intelligent automation to advance national security objectives. You will collaborate closely with analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to design and deliver mission-focused capabilities across multiple workstreams. Job Responsibilities: • Collaborating with analysts and stakeholders to translate complex data requirements into intuitive, high-performance user interfaces • Building and maintaining responsive web applications using React, integrating them with backend services and APIs • Supporting the development of backend logic and data services using Java/Spring or equivalent frameworks • Participating in sprint planning, code reviews, and technical design sessions within a tight-knit engineering team • Writing unit tests and participating in CI/CD workflows to ensure the reliability of production code The ideal candidate must have the following credentials: • 2 - 5 years of professional experience in software development, with a proven ability to work in frontend frameworks like React and backend ecosystems such as Java/Spring, C#/.NET, or similar enterprise-grade languages • Strong experience developing front-end applications using HTML, TypeScript, and CSS with a focus on responsive design and modern UI/UX • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, React component design and common component libraries, and secure web development practices • Proficiency in writing unit tests using frameworks such as Jest • Experience working in a collaborative code environment and familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development work
