About this role

The Convention Store is a customer service-based company highly involved in commuter-based fare media sales, information, and services within the mass transit industry. Our mission is to provide the highest quality of service to our clients while building strong relationships and providing friendly, professional service. Summary: We are seeking a Mobile Commuter Store CSR & Driver who will drive the Montgomery County Mobile Commuter Store to designated locations within Montgomery County, MD. You will provide public transit commuters with information about mass transportation options and fare media passes. Individuals in this position drive and work inside of an RV that has been transformed into a store on wheels. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Providing trip planning/pricing information, sale of all various transit passes for WMATA and MDOT for the area commuters utilizing public transportation options. • Maintaining your assigned bank drawer and fare media inventory. • Cash/credit/check handling via variance POS systems. Completing daily balances of all cash, paperwork, and fare media to reconcile daily sales. • Assisting seniors and people with disabilities with proper application completion for discounted passes/rates. • Providing services and assistance to customers via telephone, email, and face-to-face, using good judgment in finding solutions to problems. Addressing customer inquiries and complaints with prompt, courteous and professional correspondence after obtaining adequate facts. • Communicating efficiently and effectively with customers, coworkers and management to ensure complete customer service satisfaction and overall efficiency within the department. • Ensuring the location and work area are well stocked, cleaned, and organized. • Staying current on schedule changes. • Receiving, organizing, and stocking brochures, schedules, and media products when delivered. • Ad
