The RN integrates the art, science, leadership & knowledge of the nursing clinical practice through relationship-centered, compassionate, ethical & respectful direct / indirect healthcare services. Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Unit: Gen/Surgical Unit Employment Type: Part-time / One 12-hour shift weekly Shift: Night Shift Location: Silver Spring, Maryland Position Purpose Reporting to the Director, the Registered Nurse (RN) must demonstrate the passion to provide bedside care to a diverse and acutely ill population of patients. The Registered Nurse should possess the knowledge and skill of how-to safely apply the nursing process to assess, plan and evaluate the care of patients with various health conditions. Unit Overview This 30-bed unit provides care for high-acuity patients across a wide spectrum of complex specialties. As a Registered Nurse you will: • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support patient-centered continuum of care. • Ability to communicate variances from patient goals and advocate on behalf of patient. • Maintain accurate and timely healthcare records. • Administer medications to patients, provide education and monitor for efficacy and side effects. • Assess, monitor, report and record patient condition and pertinent changes. • Design, implement and evaluate patient nursing care plans with healthcare team. • Educates patients and family throughout stay and in preparation for discharge. Minimum Qualifications: Required: • Graduation from an accredited nursing program; basic professional nursing degree required (BSN preferred).
