The work: The Jira Developer designs, builds, and maintains advanced Jira and Jira Service Management solutions, focusing on custom development, automation, and extensibility across Jira Data Center and Jira Cloud. This role emphasizes coding, scripted customization, and system integrations to deliver scalable, high‑performance solutions. Key responsibilities: Develop custom functionality using Groovy (ScriptRunner), Java, and REST API integrations to extend Jira and JSM capabilities. Build and maintain complex automation scripts, post-functions, listeners, validators, and conditions supporting key business workflows. Design, configure, and programmatically manage workflows, transitions, issue types, issue type schemes, screen schemes, field configurations, custom fields, and context management. Integrate Jira and JSM with external systems using REST APIs, JSON payloads, and structured data transformations. Work with Jira Assets (formerly Insight) to build custom object models, automation rules, and integrations across ITSM processes. Write optimized JQL queries, perform bulk operations, and support scripted searches and logic. Develop SQL queries and work with underlying databases to suppor
