Position Summary The Senior Accountant, SEC Reporting is a key member of JBG SMITH’s Accounting Department, supporting all elements of the Company’s internal and external reporting, including the preparation of consolidated financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP and filed with the SEC. The role combines hands-on preparation of the quarterly and annual financial statements with technical accounting research and documentation on both recurring and non-routine transactions. Reporting to the Senior Manager, SEC Reporting, the Senior Accountant will work directly with the SEC Reporting leadership team and gain exposure to the full public company reporting cycle, from quarter-end close through filing, and a company-wide view of JBG SMITH that few Senior Accountant roles offer. The position is an ideal next step for an accountant from public accounting or industry who wants to build deep expertise in SEC reporting and technical accounting, while collaborating with teams across the Company in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
