About this role
About the position The Operations Manager manages day-to-day warehouse operations and material flow from receipt through shipment, working with warehouse supervisors and teams across Transportation, Sales, Customer Service, and regional PDC staff. The role drives fulfillment service levels, customer experience, operational performance, revenue, and profitability through operational strategy and process improvement. The manager oversees facility safety, compliance, cleanliness, and organization; supports regional PDCs as required; and manages operations in the Assistant General Manager’s absence. The role includes managing operational processes across the PDC, including receiving discrepancies, claim resolution, cycle counting, and inventory management. It carries out management responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws, including developing and implementing process improvements using lean concepts. Responsibilities also encompass employee hiring and training, quality assurance, project management, long-term planning, budgeting, and coordinating teams to improve efficiency and performance. Responsibilities • Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to resolve immediate day-to-day operational issues. • Monitor, report, and drive fulfillment service-level metrics to provide an excellent customer experience and deliver on company commitments. • Create and implement operational strategy and innovation to achieve revenue, operational performance, and profitability goals. • Manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment through effective communication and follow-through. • Establish process-improvement initiatives that deliver year-over-year improvement and optimize daily operations, using lean concepts and thinking. • Manage the flow of products and materials from receipt to shipment, working with Transportation, Sales, Customer Service, and regional PDC staff. • Manage facility safety and compliance. • Manage day-to-day operat
